Default Using monitor as TV

Next semester I'm going to be staying in the dorms, and space is limited. Can anyone tell me what I need so that I can use my computer monitor as a TV? Sorry I've been out of the computer building scene for a while.

http://www.newegg.com/ProductSort/Su...Subcategory=47

And none of that adapter idea stuff, that doesn't allow your computer to decode TV/cable signals...

I have a winTV it works fairly well but its an older model so the picture is sort of grainy. I also have a Prolink that well...never worked from the getgo lol.

yeah tv will look like shiot when you watch it full screen on your monitor, mainly because its a much much higher resolution than your tv. so dont be suprised if it gets a little shitty.
