Using monitor as TV
Next semester I'm going to be staying in the dorms, and space is limited. Can anyone tell me what I need so that I can use my computer monitor as a TV? Sorry I've been out of the computer building scene for a while.

something that goes from cable to video/audio output. rf converter or some ---- like that, ask the radio shack guy.

I have a winTV it works fairly well but its an older model so the picture is sort of grainy. I also have a Prolink that well...never worked from the getgo lol.

yeah tv will look like shiot when you watch it full screen on your monitor, mainly because its a much much higher resolution than your tv. so dont be suprised if it gets a little shitty.

I have the stereo winTV.. and I love it.. I used it all last year as my 2nd tv.. I had the mono one before and just couldnt handle it..
