Default Electrical system problem.

Not sure if this is the right forum, if it isn't, sorry mods please move to proper place.

For starters 89 CRX SI.
So today we finally ran the car (i was not happy with the times, I'll post them once the car has been dynod) and towards the end of the day the engine ground popped loose, no problem, i just put a new ring terminal on it and put it back on. Now tonight there are no taillights, the car still has blinkers, brake lights, and hazards, but no tail lights or dash lights (not fun in the dark). I put in a new fuse and it blew again. I pulled the harness off the back of the dimmer, put in a new fuse, and it blew again. I pulled the harnesses off the tail lights and they blew again. Does anyone think that this has to do with the ground that came loose or is it just a coincidence? As of last night, aside from the dyno time, this car was done for the summer, please don't tell me I have to pull out the whole interior and trace the wire back to find a short (If I have to do that, I'm just going to say ---- it, cut it, and run a new wire).

check ur engine ground again. just like 3 weeks ago, we discovered why my buddies (88 hatch - basically the same) tail lights, half the dash, and the blinkers didn't work- the engine ground wasn't connected.

he felt gay, reconnected it, and halelujah- it all worked

did u connect it to the right spot? check ur other grounds to see if any others came loose/off

check ur bulbs, you could just have one out ------ em all up.

i remember on my old teg, one of the fog lights blew, so i took out the bulb, and guess what i blew the other bulb and the fuse got owned.

not really the same situation, but its a possibilty

The bulbs wont affect ----, i don't have the harnesses plugged into the tail lights and I pulled the wires that were lighting the gauges.
