---- has me stumped..this is on my friend's 93 hatch...he changed his left front turn signal bulb one day and now all of a sudden ALL the dash cluster gauges(speedo, tach, etc) and dash lights(turn signals, oil light, etc.) do not work or some on when the car is turned on. the only dash lights that come on are the SRS and Batt. lights when you first turn the ignition,, but they go out as normal once the car is on.

also with the car on, the actual turnsignals do not work either when the switch is flicked and they don't flash on the dash either...BUT when the hazard button is pushed the hazzards DO work and DO flash on the dash cluster as well...WTF!?!?

we checked all of the fuses and relays, but everything checks out fine...I'm confused as hell any ideas where to go from here??

prolly a bad cluster ground or you didnt plug in the connectors all the way until they snap in... id go thru the cluster again. If it persists, get another cluster

that happened to my crx once...it was one of the fuses under the dash. i cant remember what it was though. check the fuses yO!

check your taillight fuse under the dash.
it fuses the taillight light/back up light/cluster light/singal lights all together.

i got a 93 dx and got a sir cluster same thing happend...i pulled the battery and reconnected the cluster and its worked fine...now i have to figure out why my ac unit light goes out...

well he prolly grounded a wire when he put the lens back in, it might still be grounded check the fuse then replace it, then if it pops again theres a hot wire grounded.

yeah ---- gets weird when a fuse goes out like one time my radio fuse blew i think and my clock would only turn on when my running lights were on and not when my head lights went on, and my domelight would blink with the turn signal... it was crazy

thanks for the responses guys, I haven't touched the car in 2 days though, so I dunno if he fixed it or is still pulling his hair out in frustration

yup thats the ticket. happend to me and i got pulled over for no taillights and then i got searched cuz i just smoked an l and they found my bowl and the biggest roach i had and then they let me go. i htink they smoked my ----
