Default Ring job

Today I went to install my new set of rings I got from Advanced Auto in my D15B7. I measured the clearances the way my manual described. My end gap clearance's were all within specs, but when I went to measure my side clearances I noticed they are way off. There is a visual difference between the old rings and the new rings. The new rings are way too loose and I'm afraid to run them. I checked my receipt and the part numbers all match up. I'm wondering if they possibly got placed in the wrong box or is this a common thing when installing aftermarket rings? I've never done them before and I'm just going by a manual but do you guy's think I should go back to the autoparts store and get my $100 back?

If there within spec, i say run them, just make sure they arent upside down(i did that once, and its not good).

If you are really worried, take them to the parts store, and ask to see another set to compare them to

Yeah I'm going to go back. They were installed right side up as well. There's way too much gap between the ring grooves and the ring. It's like .15" or more. Service spec's were .13" Somethings not right.

About 60k. The stock rings looked and measured out alot better than the brand new rings did. Actually still within specs. The brand new rings were way out of whack I ended up just returning that set of rings and trying to order another set but they said they cannot get them anymore :P I wouldn't be surprized if I got the last bad set they had. So I just took my refunded cash and I guess it's off to Honda to get OEM rings. No other autoparts store in this area has them in stock or will even order them.
