B16a in 91 dx hatch Y1 tranny.

The bolt that holds the shift linkage in thats on the tranny where that washer is.. well the bolt snaped and i got the bolt stuck in there. its maybe 2mm in the tranny. i got easy lose or something along that line .. but looking at it, it will be hard to make it go in cuz i only have maybe 3 inches of clearnce from the header. and i don't want to take the header off becouse then i would have to pull the engine half way out to get the header off. if anyone has sugestions on how to make a braket or any other ways of geting the bolt out.. please tell me i gotta get this runing 2marrow. i also lost the washer that go's with it.

 

get a drill and drill it out. then get a tool that has backwards threads and back it out.

 

Thats going to be tough with the header, if its in there tight you might be fucked. Try to spin it with a 90 degree pick but that will only work if its loose in there. Maybe a angle drill?

 

ok...so my older bro and dad looked at it.. and were going to make a braket so that it wont vibrate off. its on there tight as it is from the uerthane bushsings. so what were gunna do is tehre is that tranny bolt there.. gunna make a U shap hole and put it tehre then bend a plate so it go's over the bushsing then i'm finished i'll take pics. then i can try out the B&M short shifter i bought from iNetForce.

 

use plenty of zip ties
