ok i have has some serouse gear shift play and i replaced the bushings under neath but i still get some play( moves side to side about an inch and a half each side) will geting a new gear shift asemble help get ride of it? or even a shoft shifter?

edit: i just drove about 20 miles and its really stiff going into and out of the gears.. is this normal for new bushings?

 

side to side slop if from the o-rings in the shifter going bad.........

I went with a edelbrock short shifter, it has bearings that won't melt away from exhaust heat.

 

will a B16 short shifter work in a 91 DX hatch?

 

all 88 to 00 civic and 90 to 01 integra shifters are interchangable.
