just curious... does anyone know who makes downpipes for say an Hf/14b stetup on a 90 hatch (one that will clear the f'ing front x member) If so could you let me know where to find this person... Any help appreciated.. thanks

 

You do, buy a $100 welder

 

Go to a local muffler shop to fab one or buy the ---- an do it yourself. I hope that was a good enough answer.

 

yeah christmas left me kinda tapped for $$, i'd love a welder but i think thats about a month or two down the road.. i was looking at a hobart handler 140 i think.. and thats about $500, so till then if i could get a DP for a lot cheaper than $500 i would jump on it i suppose

 

i just thought that since it was such a common DIY setup that maybe someone out there was mass producing them and i could just pick one up or something

 

almost impossible, every car has different motors and manifolds different style turbo shape and side the exhaust housing is on... it would be really hard to just produce them when they'd almost never fit, you gotta make them for the car and do test fits as your makin it.... find a friend in ur area or a local muffler shop that will do it for prolly like 100 bux, if u want a full turbo back exhaust it'll prolly be around 250-300... that's not bad and its cheaper then 500

 

Yeah it's like impossible to make a downpipe for custom kits for people cause everything is setup differently. Just take it to a exhaust place with what you have and get raped or find someone with a welder.
