Default Oil Return Position

Does the Oil Return HAVE to be facing down? I understand that the flow is gravity driven so if the return was facing straight up that it wouldn't work. On my setup, my oil return is facing up but not straight up. It is like 45 degrees from being straight up. Is this fine, if you understood what I just said? (I know this thread is somewhat worthless withouth pics, but I don't have a digi cam)

If not then i'll guess i'll just have to rotate the center section.

When the turbo is mounted on the manifold, the oil return is on top the turbo. The oil inlet is on the underside of the turbo.
