I keep on hearing all these negative things that are happenning with these hmt setups... Let s hear all the good story and how there running

FOR EXAMPLE
i got a 14b turbo setup with the 450cc afc hack...... its running great.... i get good gas mileage and it has awome pickup.. i have stock internals and have had the turbo on the car for 60k miles.... @ 8 psi.....

something along those lines... i am feeling insecure and need something to boost me to put all this stuff in this week. Thanks Brian

I boost 10psi on my stock Ls/Vtec, I get shitty gas milage but my car hauls *** and Its been on for around 4,000 miles.

 

I dont see anyone with the mindset to do a homemade turbo setup, actually keeping their car in any configuration for 60k miles straight.

we like to tinker with stuff,
even its runnin good.. we'll probly want more eventually.

 

My 86 CRX Si with: ZC/T25/SDS EIC/FMIC/MSD 6al + BTM/Greddy Type S BOV/check valves has been doing pretty good for ~15k miles, 7months.
Presently, I'm at 8psi daily driven.

I don't beat the crap out of my car as much before the turbo because instead of racing a lot of people all you have to do is beat the top dog and the rest get scared. Also, hearing a BOV scares away a lot of people.

I may be taking it off the road soon to do some head work to it and clean it up. That's when my 87 Volvo Turbo intercooled 5spd will hit the road

 

i had a ZC for about 5 months at 8psi with a Zdyne and 450s, it hauled ***! burned threw a pair of tires pretty quickly gas mileage was anywhere between 20-30mpg mostly city driving. sold the motor.
now lets do it again with an A6 (not for 6 months) tried it at 10psi but ran into some problems (like the turbo spools way to fast), will try agian when i get a new battery for my laptop...
