Default Smoke everywhere! Help me! Whats going on!?!

I finally finished my turbo today, after months of time and LOTS of money. After starting my car, smoke began to come up from the manifold, out the exhaust, and pretty much everywhere. I thought there may have been lots of extra oil all over the engine, that could have been burning off. After about 5 minutes, I went for a drive down the road. I didn't rev past 3k rpms, and the smoke wouldn't stop!! It got even thicker and more intense!...
After returning from a .25 mile drive, I checked where the oil was leaking from. It appeared to be coming from under the manifold, the piece that connects to the downpipe. It looked like it was going out from where the nuts hold it in place. All of my connections looked good, from my oil feed and return lines, the oil pan tap, and the turbo itself. I want to know why oil is leaking out of these locations, and why is it being burned I dont know what the hell is going on, besides the fact my car is smoking up the entire town!!! SOMEONE.... Please help, FAST!!!!!!!

Damn man sounds like you have the same problem i do, its either your turbo needs a rebuil, ie needs new oil seals etc cause it is getting past them and getting into your exhaust and burning up. Is there oil in your charge pipes?

A rebuild, huh? how much do those go for? Do you know where to get that done, or soes it have to be shipped out? Damn guy on Ebay, I paid so much for that turbo! I dont know if there is oil in the charge pipes, I haven't had a chance to check. I'll let you know though.

In the meantime, if anyone can hook me up with a good T3 for a good price, let me know... hook a homemade brotha up!

It is the turbo. My first setup had a t25 and the same thing happened. I pulled the plugs to make sure it was not the engine then the manifold to make sure it was not full of oil and it was not. When you take the turbo off you will notice that is was pushing oil into the exhaust side, causing all the smoke (bad seals). I put it back on ebay, that is where i bought it and used the money to buy a brand new t25 that I started installing today. Put it back on ebay and say that it may need a rebuild, if not have it rebuilt, about $300.

No big deal dude, what turbo do you have? If its a T3 I can rebuild what you have for $200 plus shipping or I can send you a rebuilt center section for $150 plus shipping, this includes everything, new bearings, seals, turbines and ballancing, all together in a center housing (oil cooled or oil and water, your choice) .You would have to do the labor to take the turbo apart and put it back together. If its not a Garrett T3 I will have to get you a price quote.Email me at customcoach@comcast.net . There is something to be said for new parts.

if your return line isnt able to returb the fuel fast enough that could also be the problem. how is your return line setup. because if it doesnt have good flow then the oil will find other ways to get out. but either way sounds like you do need a rebuild

My fuel line looks good; it goes up to my Vortech FMU and then to the FPR... Connections are tight. My oil lines are secure as well. My turbo is an AR (Air Research) T3. CUSTOM COACH: I would need an oil cooled rebuild, but is it easy to take apart and re-esemble? To save time, do you have any pre- rebuilt T3's laying around, to exchange for $150 and my T3?
