Chevy Transmission Question?

Does anyone know how to tell the difference between a turbo 400 and a turbo 350 transmission. I need universals for my tow truck. Its and 81 Chevy C20 with a 305. Anybody have an idea? Thanks

the turbo 400 doesnt have a passing gear cable and the oil pan isnt square the one corner is cut off

Aight man. Thanks. The oil pan is completely squared. So it must be a turbo 350?

if its completly square with 16 bolts its a 700r4. There is no doubt about it, if it was square with one corner cut off it would be a 350

700r4 will be overdrive and it wont be in 81
