Vtec wireing

Default Vtec wireing

I have a 92 DX non vtec . I'm putting in a Y8 motor I need know how to wire the Vtec. I know the wire from the solonoid goes to the ECU but where does the other 2 wires go. I'm using an AEM ecu.

Are you talking about the Vtec Pressure wire?? If so one of them goes to the ground (usually a group of grounds wired to the water pump) and the other goes to a constant power (which is usually a blacnk and yellow wire)

some 92 dx's have the vtec wires already there....but just not from the engine. see if you got it there first before you start cutting. there should be 3 wires. 1 black, 1 green w/yellow stripe, and 1 blue w/blk stripe. ground the blk to anything. run the green to spot A4. blue to D6. and there you go. vtec is now on.
