bolt in engine swap...
Ok.. well I was just browsing around the net... looking at swap info when I realized something strange....
according to this site..
http://hybrid.honda-perf.org/tech/5gtech.html
any many others the 3g teg and 5g civic have the same mounts for engines. So a 3g teg GS-R motor bolts into a 5g chassis without modification or mount kit. This got me thinking... the engine in the 5g civic could have possibly been a d16z6. I was under the impression that a d16z6 bolts into a 4g civic/crx chassis? Why the hell doesnt a 3g teg bolt into a 4g civic then?? Just wondering!!
some1 clarify this for me!!

Re:bolt in engine swap...
Ah yes the age old ?.... The Main Reason is the tranny mount on the EFs.. Look at it this way the DA integra 90-93 was built on the same chassie(sp?) as the EF Civic/CRX you cant bolt that in either. The Rear mount is also in the wrong spot that why with mount kits you have to use the Other blot hole on the rear x-member. The First few mount kits that came out used a Stock Integra Driver side mount and and a plate that you used to "adjust" a stock Integra tranny mount.. Why honda did this I dont know but they did. Place back in the Day made a Weld in kit you moved the Frame mounts the the SiR spots and used stock mounts.. Hope that helps ya
