Im pretty fair interested into boosting the crx and finishing a serious build, but I wanted to know. For the boosted people, has a cop ever noticed your front mount?

Does that give them reason to tow the car? Right now Ive got a Zex kit in the back but for the 2 times I got pulled over, I just turned the bottle off, purged the lines and disconnected the main nitrous line fom the botttle so its totally legal.

I show them that its disconnected (both cops knew to look for the bottle but it wasnt hidden) but when they said pop the hood I said sorry sir I cant, locking hood pins and I dont have the key.

Obviously if your boosted it isnt that easy to disconnect while hes still in his car. So what happens?

Thats my only downside to going boost instead of a bigger shot of nitrous is that thieves will see it and cops may as well.

Tell the cop it's an extra radiator or something that was installed by a honda professional and if he asks you to pop the hood tell him to ---- off.

 

tell him that your turbo is an aftermarket air conditioning compressor

really though, most cops don't know what an intercooler is, if they do, they'll probably know that your nitrous is hooked up too. I've gotten more hassle for my headlights then I have for my turbo.

 

Yea, im not sure yet, i mean, the cops are mostly worried about these big can mufflers and ---- like that.

It seems that here in VA its hard to have anything done to your car!!

The state troopers say that everything has to be OEM, but how come trucks, and mustangs can have flowmasters, and stuff like that, not stock, but oh well its easier for them to pick on hondas, and others.

if you're that worried just get a side mount and tuck in behind the side of your bumper, they can't bitch about it if they don't see it.

 

As far as I know turbo ain't illegal...don't know about the states.
Nitrous is kinda dangerous, because it can leak when in an accdent.

BTW you're worried about anti-mod laws in VA? I live in SoCal.

 

i cant see why tubocharging would be illegal, i guess there arent any evo's, wrx's, vw's, passats, volvos, saabs, benz's in your state then huh?
