Default Odd OBD1 problem (uberdata p28)

ok; i have a d16z6 bottom end with an A6 head on it (vtec head has bent valves; a6 on there for now). and i'm running uberdata on my p28 in my 90 si civic.

i have dsm 450cc injectors and the stock honda resistors and the obd1 distro in the car.

now when i go to try and start the motor it'll crank and sputter and act like it wants to start but it wont. then when i unplug the injector plugs (so they're not firing) it'll start sputter then die (i guess when the fuel in the intake runs out).
What in the world would be causing this? did i wire a sensor in the distro backwards so the injecters are firing in the wrong order? is my timing horrifically off?

i know its not getting too much fuel because i threw my 240cc injectors in there and it did the same except when i unplugged the injectors it didnt "run" as long.

i'm going to find my multimeter and track every wire in the distro tomorrow and make sure i have all the wires right. i'm also not totally sure of timing as my timing belt cover is MIA :-/

please help

Which dizzy?
Im sure you already knew, but the obd0 16tooth wont run on a P28, its expecting a 24 tooth.

HTH,
Dave

take the driver's side wheel off, turn the engine over by hand until you hit tdc (take the #1 spark plug out, put something long inside so that it rests on the cylinder. when it is all the way out, and your cam gear is "up", you're at tdc).
this will let you know if you're off by much. for finer detail, line up the mark on the crank pulley with the timing marks.

injector order.. use a circuit tester or as you said, multimeter, your conversion harness may not be done properly, or the injector plugs are not on the right injectors.

the dizzy may be the problem, but it's hard to screw that up, it's colour for colour.

like i said it'll do the same thing when i have my 240s or my 450s in there.

i'm going to cut j1 today to turn the p28 into a regular p28 see if that helps. and i'll make sure all the injectors are where they are suposed to be.

also setting timing on the distro is a pain in the *** major. It doesn't even really fit in my A6 head and the holes sure as ---- dont line up.
and being without a timning belt cover i cant set the timing to 10 degrees or whatever btdc very easily or at all for that matter :-/

Idle on 450's should be around 2.2-2.4ms if I remember right.
