Default New motor break in + odd problem

Well yesterday I threw a new z6 in the coupe and its finally back on the road, question now is this...

While breaking it in, I know its said to change oil at 100 miles to get all of the assembly lube out. I planned on doing this but I want to know if its necessary because...

At 12 miles into break-in, the oil pan plug popped out, no idea why, it was tight, and a new plug threaded in just fine so its not stripped. Maybe the plug was stripped tho ??

So since at 12 miles the oil got changed, is 100 miles necessary? I might just do it anyways, since 3.5 quarts of oil isnt very spendy.

Just spend the 10 bucks and do the oil change. You will thank yourself later.
