need help installing my chip!!

ok i bought my P72 ecu already socket'd and it has a jumper installed in it. i need to know which way the chip gets put in the socket? and how the jumper works?

i know, i know i'm alittle slow!!

pin 1 (side with the lil arrow) should point left (same way as all the others). With the jumper jumped, the ecu will read the aftermarket chip. Un-jumped, it will return to stock maps.

how do i know if the jumper is jump'd right now? or not jump'd? is there a way of telling?

jumped=connected (or in the "on" position)
