P28 Botronix Chip Question (which chip to buy?)
This is a "ECU chipping" question.
My info:
1995 Civic Si, D16Z6, manual.
P28 ECU (I assume).
I'm about to buy the Botronix Eprom Programmer 4 and a 28 Pin ZIF socket. I'm just wondering what the model/product number of the programmable chips (from Botronix), which I need to get. Are there re-writable chips or just single-write chips available?
Thanks in advance for the info.
P.

Re:P28 Botronix Chip Question (which chip to buy?)
Hey Mike,
My car's "sleeping" under a deep snow cover right now
It's too cold/slippery to drive it around now, so I'm "killing" a Subaru Legacy Turbo (winter beater) right now... but as you can see I'm working on getting some parts in order to chip my comp. and run some more PSI's
By the way... do you know what the model number is of the Batronix "programmable" chip for my P28 ECU?
Thx.

Re:P28 Botronix Chip Question (which chip to buy?)
those are two different things.. you get any ROM programmer to burn the rom. (batronix 4 comes assembled I think) and then you use an editting software to make the code. They are two different things...
but ya.. search the EM forum about batronix.
Peter, you may also want to consider a Hondata s200. Not new though!
