Well, i got my ecu chipped, and now im running beerbongs d16z6 map, and that thing runs rich... Im using a d16y8 though, but close enough, and with a smaller turbo, but even while crusing it seems to run really rich. I still get a little hiccup after a while of driving for about a minute or less. but then i goes away. And it can boost 10 psi on it, whiel only giving like 50% throttle and not detonate at all, i guess its the smaller turbo, lol..... But when i floor it, through 3 gears, shifting at 6K, i actaully noticed my needle on the gas gauge went down about 1 mm, should i be suckig THAT much gas ..... dunno, i just need to get tuned, wish i had teh money for a wideband. Any one in central florida?

 

maybe your gas tank sensor is just damn sensitive and moves because all of your gas is flowing to the back with all the torque you're experiencing!

 

A) Z6 flows more air than a Y8.
B) Beer has a big boy's T3.
C) I believe (correct me if I'm wrong) but the post of Pat's map on the Uberdata board is very soon after the dyno. Thus, not too much part throttle tuning was done.

 

Really, i figured teh z6 and y8 were pretty much teh same at partial throttle. I am just using it to get my car running, it runs fine. I need a wideband o2 also, so i can really see whats going on and tune it myself...

 

See if you can find pictures of the ports.

You'll see a Z6 head owns a Y8.

 

that's true.get it ported.mine flows better now and i did it myself.d16y8 head and a 14b spools quicker.

 

DAmn, i just sold my built z6 head too, oh well, its still fast...

 

Its definetly the gas sensor, because mine will fluctuate when i get down on it.
