Default map sensor no workee???

well, i'm boosting with no fuel mangagment, just a few hmt band aid tricks for a few days, my map cel came on the first night i boosted it over 3 psi. i reset it and have no cel's now, but i've been up to 6 psi and it hasn't come on i've had a bad map sensor before and i don't have any of the symptoms so i assume it's working, but why isn't it coming on when it sees boost?

oh, ---- then, i dunno.

as the dsm tuners put it:

Every ECU is different, one car will throw the CEL every day (after constant resets) for having a test pipe, the next one will either throw one CEL a year or not at all with the same setup (and test pipe).

The dsms are all the same, have that same slight starter/alternator problem, but the computers act completely different.

maybe the rule crosses over to other imports?
