Default does the pr4 have the 8051 microcontroller?

the pm6 has this so values can't be entered past 7400 rpm, does the pr4 also have this problem? how is it that my zdyne modified pm6 allows me to rev all the way to 9500 rpm? I was told that the ecu just connects the dots or something like that to get values past 7400, but if it does this for rpm why can it not do it for boost, meaning stock ecus could handle boost without modification?

would you really want your ecu connecting the dots for boost and rpm values over 7400? if you're revving that high and your boost is still efficient, I would think that your motor has some work into it, and I am sure you would want definite control over how much fuel and what kind of ignition is going on. just leaving it for the computer to guess would scare the **** out of me.

but I don't know if it can be done or not... just the thought of it scares me.

that's why I'm asking if the pr4 has the same problem, I want to make sure everything is good, not hope the ecu can continue the curve effectively.

It's all in how the information the ECU pulls from is coded. If ZDYNE's ROM coding allows for higher RPM and higher BOOST (which it does) then the ECU knows where to pull values from.

Right now, the PGMFI ROM doesnt have that feature available to the public...

Zdyne doesn't allow tuning above 7400 RPMs.

No.

PR3/PW0 only (natively). A wild rewrite of the interpolation routine would have to happen for addressing cells about 0xFF (255).

alright, I was trying to decide between pm6 and pr4, the pm6 wins, who has one for sale?
