has anybody used these im fixing to boost but need a fuel plan since i cant find an fmu right now and i wanted to know how well they work.

 

AFC, pretty much will be your answer around here. most of us either use, or have used this method.

 

give the guy a break, let him get an AFC first and then maybe get into the fun stuff, not everybody is cut out to go straight to Uber/TE

 

WOW everyone around here is ECU mod happy!! I'm OBDII so I guess that is out for me. I am going with the hack.

 

Just because you're "doing it yourself" does mean you have to half-*** it. ECU modification is a wonderful tool that has been dropped into the hands of laymen by a few great men who have chosen to not profit from this once overpriced, elitist market.

Take advantage... Get a ECU Conversion Harness, and compatible ECU and reap the spoils of an often overlooked, and under-appreicaited vehicle modification.

 

So you are recommending I get an OBD-I and a harness and look into chipping it? Would this be a better alternative to the hack and a timing retard? What model ECU should I look for? I currently have a 96 CX D16Y7. Please help a noob out this interests me a LOT.

 

Harness yes... P28 ECU is most readily available.

Chip it, run Uberdata, enjoy life.

 

doesnt the cx have an 8 valve head? i would replace that ****** first
