Default Plan for the Dyno

Wondering what order of variables/componets your suppose to tune so I dont have to make as many runs to reach my "tune". Heres the list of things to change. By the way, DOHC with cam gears and TE

A) Intake Cam Timing
B) Exhaust Cam Timing
C) Ignition Timing Map
D) Fuel Injection Map

How many times do you guys iterate to find the best tune. Example lets say you finished step B, do you go back to step one and make sure step A settings are still at the optimum point with step B settings....

Let me get this straight, none of you have ever been on the dyno and dont know how to tune it once its on there. My guess is...

Intake Cam
Exhaust Cam
Ignition Timing
Recheck Cam settings
Fuel

Ill be doing this itr make sense in relation ot getting VE first and then change fuel but if you guys know a better proceadure Id love to hear it.

I'd get the a/f in the ideal spot and then due cam changes to see if you pickup any power. once you find the optimum cam settings re-check a/f.

...I would think cam gear adjustment would have a rather large effect on A/F ratio.. not to mention the fuel curve of the entire map..?

I wouldnt think large...if anything, adjusting cam gears would shift the torque curve uniformally higher or lower depending how you had them adjusted.

it would be easy to see a trend and shift a/f in the same uniform pattern(with the proper tools of course)
