Default please help me plan turbo project...

hey guys...im 16 and I love working with cars...i saved up 3500 dollars to buy a car but i was given a 93 camry 4 banger..so i thought a turbo project would be fun (using a different car)...

i want to come up with something lightweight and quick, so I am deciding between a ford escort GT (1.8L) or a honda civic...

but I do not know much about civics, i was wondering which engine of the civic line responds best to a T3 sized turbo and will also hold up well, and what car this engine comes in...

mind you my budget is about 3500 dollars, I could probably come upw ith more, but this includes the price of the car also. I was planning on picking up most of the parts (T3, BOV, IC, fuel, etc) from the junkyard...

thanks

sell the camry=more money on top of the $3500 for car+turbo. for $3500 or less i'd buy a 92'-95'civic ex coupe. with the money i get from selling the camry i'd put together a turbo kit. it won't be easy cause you'll have to hunt down the parts yourself and fabricate a few things but it will be more than worth it.

check out this website called
www.homemadeturbo.com there is a forum on there, and it has great tech articals, and great write ups, pretty much anything you need to know about turbo'ing a car. they really know there ---- about honda's! whatever needs to be known, they will know it. (meaning just look around the website man. there is so much info here it is nuts. check out the main page at the tech articles, and the projects. its a great starting point. from there, you will have many questions in your head, and be so dam confused it will be funny. you wont sleep, and you will think about how bad *** your turbo'd car will be. and then, come to the forum, and read the faq at the top of each discoussion board. then, you will be even more confused. then you ask questions)-by the way, we all started with this thread that you have made.

also...
what other website can you find that has homemade twin-turbo'd/direct port nitrous injected, D series honda's and lesbian action ****, all in one place? if you can find a better site than this one, please post it.

welcome to homemadeturbo.com
