IHI RHB5 (VI34) -Rebuilt

When the turbo is off the car and I spin the shaft with my hand, I hear a 'rattle'. This turbo has been fully rebuilt, and there's not even a sign of shaft play. I'm thinking it's the berrings inside due to the fact that there's no oil inside (obviously, since it's off the car). Are these the berrings I'm hearing? The rattle I speak of, is slightly faint, and doesn't really catch the ear if not listening, but it's enough for me to ask about it.

 

take it back to who rebuilt it..

you shouldnt hear anything, it could be a few things, either way, you will need to tear the thing apart to figure out what it is.
