Would like to show you guys my 1997 Saturn SC2, rear-mount turbo setup here. I am running 12psi now, but am about to ATTEMPT to install a piggyback aftermarket computer to run 20psi. Its the DET3 from Ecumasters and if this don't work for me THEN I'll entertain full standalone. Had full standalone for my first turbo kit on my 1995 SC2 back in 1999 and it worked okay, but I really don't want to start from scratch on tuning when a piggyback like this one, with launch and two step capabilities exist for a fraction of the cost. So far up to now, I've ran 12psi by just fueling the heck out of it, 8.5:1 forged pistons and two-step heat range colder plugs on highest octane gas. No detonation whatsoever. I used homemadeturbo's site, from time to time, for guidance and a long time ago I did a homemade boost controller that was on this site.

Fully built internals but stock headgasket. Want to run only 20psi and be done with it. Need larger injectors to do that and need that DET3 to control injectors down so start up isn't horrible and off boost driveability. Currently I"ve got 260cc/min (stock ones is 195cc) and I'm running super high fuel pressure to meet what I'm doing now. The DET3 has timing control as well. So far though, the stock Saturn's PCM has been able to control timing well, but of course, I am running those low comp pistons, etc.

Gonna start making some car shows soon. Just recently got the front bumper rewrapped by a place in houston called John Tran Automotive and unlike the first wrapper, John got it done and done right! I highly recommend him!
