Default turbo sbc

Let me start off by saying I'm not a boost newb, but this is my first non-na sbc build. With that out of the way, let me get down to it..

The motor is as follows.
-stock shortblock out of a 76 chevelle laguna
-dart iron eagle 72cc chamber heads
-small crane cam (.484 lift with my 1.6 rockers)
-edelbrock rpm air gap
-edelbrock 600cfm carb with neoprene floats and choke horn shaven off
-greddy 28x13x3 front mount
-GT45 turbo
-knockoff tial wastegate and bov
-3-1/2" downpipe into single in, dual 2-1/2 out modified flowmaster ('louvered' the center baffle, so it's basically a straight through now)
-modified midlength headers to 2-1/2" hot side exhaust

I think that should relatively cover it.. the cam is subject to change within the next few months.

Just wanting to see if there's anyone else out there feeding boost to a stock (as in factory stock.. yes, cast pistons) sbc shortblock. If so, how much? I'm guessing 8-10lbs on premium pump gas should live happily, provided it's fed enough fuel. Pistons are factory dished with valve reliefs, 72cc chambers and .051 thick (compressed) gaskets. And also, round-about where did you set your base timing? Thinking of using 1 heat range cooler plugs, to help combat any chance of detonation.

The main thing is to keep it out of detonation. You will want something that can maintain timing correctly under boost. What are you using for timing control?

You'll need to add something to back the timing off under boost.
