are d15 pistons/rods compatable with the si's engine codes d16a6 thanks guys

 

I'm gonna take a shot in the dark guess and say no. 1.5 liters and 1.6 liters usually have to do with the internal combustion area (piston size)

 

If it's an 8-valve D15, then no. There are only two valve reliefs on the pistons.
If it's a 16-valve D15, then yes.
All D series have the same size pistons: 75mm
The difference is the stroke which is where the higher cc comes from. The D16 have a 90mm and the D15s have a 84.5mm.
That is usually dependent on the crank.

the d15 also has smaller rod journals than the d16. The rods arent compatible.

 

if you notice, d15 pistons and d16 pistons are slightly different heights. IM not saying the d15 pistons wont work, but i'd like to see someone put them in a d16 and see if they are out of the hole.
