Just saw a H23A1 engine in the yunkyard.
It's pretty big....2.3L DOHC Can it be swapped in a CRX
Is it closed deck like the H22?

hmm yeah...maybe I'm out of funds right now. I saw the engine i thought it was a ZC but when I got closer the block was huge. They're asking 350 for the longblock and tranny

 

i've seen a few in crxs. but the hood wasnt stock. my friend also had one in a rex. the hood wouldnt close cause the motor sits too high. so they got the gude hood. but yes..it is a closed block. h23 block with h22 head will make the same power as an h22, but the 23 will give it more torque then the h22 alone. good luck

 

damnnn that sounds nice. A H22 head is hard to find though.
