Smile New to the forum but not to the turbo.

Hi all. My name is TREY and I am new to the HomeMadeTurbo forum but no stranger to the turbocharger. I am located just a few miles from the Texas Motorplex in Ennis Texas. It's literally within a few miles from my house and there are only few houses between us. I do not make many trips to "the plex" but after this winter down-time WE have coming on I'm going to turbocharge my track truck and make many many more trips to the "Fast Friday" events and bring home some wins under my belt. For those not familiar it's a Friday night event where you bring street car to the 1/4 mile track and run it all night long for $10 (March-October 25th). I like turbocharged high-performance cars/trucks, modifying, customizing and learning. I do not give smart-*** comments, knock-on or degrade anyone. I am educated and have a degree in automotive technology. I will not open my mouth (OR TYPE) unless I know what I'm talking about.

In the near weeks to come I'm hoping to post many pics and keep the interested updated on the build of my 1966 Chevrolet C-10 step-side with a 355 SBC & TH400 & GM 12-Bolt 3.08. I'm in a debate right now of a DIY 4-6 psi single or twin-turbo setup. I hope to motivate many "noobies" to turn some wrenches and receive knowledgeable and valuable input and suggestions to learn to prepare everything for the best possible outcome when it comes to what you came to HomeMadeTurbo to learn.

Welcome! I've got a '72 C10 myself. Right now it's getting a naturally aspirated 4.8 swap, but I may add forced induction to it later. I'd probably have to add some suspension / chassis mods first.

Nice. I had a 2001 Chevrolet 1500 with a 4.8 and I "assume" a 4L60E and it ran AWESOME! I can only imagine what it would've responded like to a power adder.
