Default Zc tuning

Hello Everyone ,

I have a 90 Honda Crx. I have installed a ZC SOHC VTEC. I have try so hard to dyno tunning and it fails. My fuel system shuts off at 5k RPM. I have install jdm 400 injectors, SAFC2, walbro 555 fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel pressure regulator. Turbo kit set at 10psi, intercooler and manual boost gauge. It has a LS ECU. They have told me that my distribuator is not the right fit and it's true but I can find the ZC. Do you guys know which one I Need? Do you guys have any idea what wrong with my car.

Ditch the FPR , chances are because you're running bigger injectors , a fuel pump plus a FPR your cars running ritcher than Bill Gates. Is your ecu chipped for boost? Just use a stock zc sohc vtec dizzy what do you mean do we know which one you need Best you post ****

Get a Z6 dizzy, convert to OBD-1, hook up VTEC, ditch the LS ECU, SAFC-2, and FPR, then tune with Crome or whatever you perfer.

Yes I'm riding really ridge. I hate it but that's the only way to boost up to 5krpm. What do you mean ditch the ecu? what's a z6 dizzy? Can I convert from obd 0 to ob1 with the ls ecu. ?

hi Everyone,

If I installed a d6z6 distribuator to my zc sohc vtech and convert to obd1 will that eliminate my problem?

It'll be a start. By converting to obd1 it gives you better fine tuning options than an afc will. Recurving larger than stock fuel injectors on afc's will advance your timing and eventually lead to detonation and other bad things. On another note, your injector size will limit your achievable horsepower. 450cc injectors are reaching their limits at 300hp, so with 400cc you'll be well below that. Given that this is probably a stock block sohc zc, you really won't want to go over 200hp anyway.
This fuel cut you're talking about, more than likely it's the afc hitting the limit of how far it can trick the stock ecu...it eventually shows positive pressure to the ecu, pr4 doesn't like to see that in stock form, so it throws a check engine light and goes into limp mode.

I was thinking of swaping my engine to a LS obd 0 or a B16 OBD 0. But I don't know what would be cheaper and bette
If I installed a LS, my wiring, distribuator and ecu I will be able to use and just buy a different manifold for the turbo.

With a B16 I would have to change everything but just keep the same wiring.

I don't know what to do. I would like to fininsh my project with my ZC engine. And just buy the D6Z6 Distribuator and convert to obd 1. And try to get it dyno tune with
everything else i already have.

Any suggestion?

Hi everyone,

I will convert my crx to obd1 this weekend, What ECU would you recommend? Which one is great for redline and boost control?

your stock ecu is p70 its came with sohc vtec zc. and it can be chiped such as any jdm ecu as po8, p30. ( small case)

and also the p28 will work with you good if chipsed,

but please your engine have not oil pressure switch for vtec. so if you use the p28 the cel will jump and may be not rev past 5000 rbm. ( may be )

iam doing same project now and will face that proplem too.
