ok basically i just did a zc swap into my dx automatic.. and i am running a pr4 ecu from a 5spd integra.. however i am having tranny shifting problems..

is it possible i need to use an ecu from an automatic integra instead of a 5 spd since i still am running my auto dx tranny?

 

That is very correct, the automatic tranny will normally freak out if you have a 5speed ecu in there. Get a automatic ecu, and you should be fine. Are you getting any codes?

well the only coeds that i keep gettin are for the cylinder position sensor on the exhast cam shaft part of the motor but other than that the car runs fine just ic has no pickup whatsoever..

 

my friend had the same problem with his crx with the engine code. it ended up being the two wires off the distributer being backwards. switched them around and boom.

thanx for the info however i get the code no matter which way the wires a r hooked up but it will only crank and run one way .. so i think the wires a r hooked up right its just throwing a code for some reason.. or maybe the sensor could be bad but i already replaced it.. or it could be a matter of i am using the wrong ecu

 

Ya thats wierd... ecu i would think would have issues with an auto tranny. but those wires he had backwards, the car still ran either way. so i dunno if we r talking bout the same wires. We did his swap into a si tho. ill pop by his work and double check the location and etc...

 

Just came back from his shop... it was the wires comming out of the cam sensor. i took a few pics so if u want i can send them to ya.

so your running MPFI in a auto? you need a 90-91 Civic EX auto ECU, a PS9....
