Default z6 is running jumpy

i have a d15b7 cam gear and i lined everything up the crank the cam gear to the points on the head and it seemed to run really shitty so ii advanced my cam gear 4 degrees on my z6 with a y8 head...it seems to run alright when i shoot the timing light at the crank but it idles at 1200 and i tried unhooking the iac and turning the idle screw but it just kills..so i hooked up the iac and let it idle at 1200 when i move the throttle up just a bit to right above the 1500 rpm mark and keep it constant it seems to have a jumpy tach but if i push the throttle in more it runs great what the ---- am i doing wrong i know im a dumbass so help me!!

why chance mis-matching parts because someone told you there the same? spend $20 and get the right gear and see how that goes, it may help
