Default Whats wrong? bad misfires, jumpy tach

1. Car idles rock solid perfect
2. Starts normal
3. free revs fine

but...

1. above 3000-3500rpm when accelerating, sometimes it starts cutting out hard, like a misfire, and the tach gets jumpy.
2. above 3000-3500rpm when 0% throttle deceleration, tach will also get jumpy.
3. This problem started today. I daily this car 100 miles, and never had an issue until today.
4. I also have a head cold, any good remedies?

there arent any ignition components that honda people typically refer to as the 'module' so what component are you speaking of?

module on a toyota = takes distrib signal, amplifies it, sends it to the ecu for injector timing, and sends a nice fat 12v signal to the coil for spark.

they're VERY prone to failure after 15-20 years for some reason. my truck is 22 this month. go figure!

Ignitor. Almost 100% sure of it. Does it all the time. Fixed about 3 cars with similar problem by replacing this.

I'm not 100% sure if you can buy them alone. Easiest is to grab a spare dizzy and pull it out of that. Basically any honda one fit any other.
