Y does it always takes 5 crank to start my car.?
whenever my car sits pass 6 to 8 hours. or say in a very cold weather(which means every morning :-\)..it ALWAYS takes like 5 crank to start it up. it does that before my motor got re-build and even after that.
fuel pressure`s good, 225 fuel pump`s already in., it will kept on doing it after tune-ups. but if i`ve been driving it, let it sit for say an hour or two,. it does not do it and starts right up. and idea??? |

Re:Y does it always takes 5 crank to start my car.?
Maybe your ECT (engine coolant temperature sensor) is either bad or unplugged. Did you check your ecu for codes?

Re:Y does it always takes 5 crank to start my car.?
On older cars, the ignition system is mostly to blame.
On my carb'd v8 it takes a while for the fuel to pump back thru the lines and go into the carb after I let it sit for a week (I know cause I have one of those nifty see-thru fuel filters on the fuel line). Remove the cat and see if that helps you out. |
