B20b motor- coming shortly
b series into ef mounts- coming shortly
b series trans- junkyard scavenger
b series axles- junkyard scavenger
90-91 integra knuckles or 91 civic sedan ex knuckles- junkyard scavenger
pr4 obd1/obd0 ecu(Im going to convert to obd1)- i already have these items
can i use my current engine harness which was mpfi converted and currently driving with d series, then get obd1 conversion harness.

as far as i can think this is all i would need from the junkyard to get me started. the only thing thats gets me is the steering knuckles and hubs. thats one of the reasons why i made this thread. i should be heading to the junkyard saturday and picking everything up. gotta love the import section.

big thumbs up to chris for the HMT hookup on the b20b short block.

well considering they dont have heads they wont start. There fine you wont have a problem. I sell ungodly amount of crap every month and have no intent to rip people off to make a couple bucks

Lol no, no. I ment if I throw a head on it, and its no good; then what? I know your not here to rip any one off, I seen you here for a long time; and have bought from you and the past. The only reason I ask was because I use to work at a engine importing place and I would say about 1 b-series motor out of every 150 or so where no good.

sounds like a 50-75 shot may not be a bad thing to do then if i just wanna have fun with people on the streets. i know i get plenty of looks in my hatch when driving to school from other honda drivers and wrx/evo's as well. gotta love rolling with porches though.

None of my stuff isnt good all is tested twice. I have never had a motor/trans returned and that is due to overally ---- testing.

Also in all my days of swapping in jdm motors I have had =0 that were damaged on start up/or worn beyond what is expected in a used motor

Thats 10+ years of shop work/friends cars/personal cars. If the place you worked at compression/leaked down correctly there would of been 0 damaged motors
that came over on the boat

Fine if it doesnt run send it back and you get your money back good enough. But the idea of that happening makes me laugh your paronoid man.

Lastly I only will have 1 stock one left has I just bought 5 sets of all motor pistons and will be selling built street b20 all motor bottom ends

picked back up my old b18a/b head from about a year and a half ago i sold to a buddy that i got from cbirchmore. now i need to see how much some cams would cost me. delta grinds would be sweet!! anybody have any tips/opinions for all motor/turbo cams?

stocl ls valve springs are a joke. If you go regrinds you hav to get springs who enjoy dropping valves

Is it possible to use b16 springs and retainers?

If not I can just buy some springs and retainers from fj distributors.

Would you recomend delta regeinds? What size?

crower.com

if it was dohc vtec stuff all my new springs/retainers which make all the other brands look like pooooooooo just like my throttle bodies but for the ls world crower is the only one who cares. They developed there product like like 8 years ago when ls were still being used. 1 in 500 builds is proably an ls now so no other development from any companies will happen again.

I heard that CraneCams had some great cams for the Ls. I know that Chris swears up and down about Crower, but ive heard that the CraneCams Idle alot better. And have more power in vac. for the driveabilty factor. But I read that on evans tuning website.

Actually crower is the only ls stuff I used that I like never tried crane. I really dont mess with non vtec stuff anymore. Just sohc vtec and dohc vtec.My springs/retainers are superior to crowers vtec stuff.

I forgot to add that it was on a full on diet of boost. It looks like a great build.

Sorry I got off track, I just was looking at those cams the oter day and they looked like they would work real well.

What you also sell springs/ retainers?

Yes they go in all my cylinder heads. The most seat pressure ever for a dohc vtec spring. I sell Chromoly Retainers that dont fail and flake like the cheap Russian grade titanium used in all aftermarket retainers. Basically no more of your retainer ends up in your oil pan which is a good thing.

I have alot of products I have been helping develop/design. Im 1 guy with no backing I started my business with literally nothing. Most shops have families and such that helped them I dont have that luxury but will be documenting why seat pressure is needed and why many brands of springs on the market fail.

Basically in the next year or so you will see everything/anything motor based off dohc vtec engines coming out of my little shop.

damn, well if i ever go to vtec ill have to consult chris on that matter. sucks that im gonna have a ls head instead, but at least it will be a b series engine for the time being. i think i could save up and pick up a b16 head cheap in my area. not only is this swap gonna be for fun, but i want to baseline test it before i possibly add a turbo to it. although i do know i would like to add a shot of laughing gas to it.
