Wiring Question for dx to si

Default Wiring Question for dx to si

The 91 si engine and si tranny are in a stock 90 dx. the dash wiring is dx while the engine wiring is a6. the passengers side plug works and fits but the drivers side plug doesnt fit. my question is can i hard wire the wires together and for go the plug. let me know

You are going to need to completely re-pin the plugs, which is not recommended, your better off doing a DPFI-MPFI swap, this envolves modifing your stock DX harness to work with MPFI engines. Its really not that hard.

VERY TRUE.....i've seen some people try to save money and try wiring the whole car to an si....woweee. the project took over 2 months of trying to figure out wires and where they go. but i guess if you want it to be a real si harness...more power to you. but stick with something that works...and works well. good luck

I have done BOTH I will tell you NOW convert your DX harness to MPFI it is not that hard its realy not. takes oh about 1 1/2 hours for the first time I can knock them out in about 45 mins now... I use a diagram found at hybrids web site

HEy I have on that is mostly converted but you will still need to add some ----. I had it for a z6 but I will convert it back over for you if you want.

werd, hit up a link for those instructions. when i get my dx hatch next week, i want to convert to MPFI, and have NO clue what so ever on how to, other than i need SI dist, ecu, and the intake/fuel componets
