You could do the water thing but I would be careful of your valves rusting.

In theory it will, but how much is the question. A long time ago I found out that a VX head on a d16A6 block was like 15/1 or so... SO The VX must have dished pistons.

Just ran my D16A6 head/ D16z6 block combo with turbo for the first time today. Its 8.4/1 compression. Good thing, I spiked to 12.1psi with no IC and 93'oct. It didn't knock though...

Also my head's allready off.The pistons are dished, thats why i thought of filling them with water, then i could just get some paper towel to soak it up after would's.Do u think if i rang honda they could tell me the piston displacement?

Also how did your car feel with less comp off boost?

I never turbo'd the stock compression motor. BUT the WRX TD04L spools at the same rate ( according to but dyno ) as my friends TD04L greddy kit did.

Couple of side notes is that I am/was running no IC, and no air filter, OR exhuast !!

We both now have the same compression. He said he noticed a VERY slight change in "off idle" response, but besides that it felt the same.

He runs a greddy kit with 1G DSM IC, TD04L-15G, and big fart pipe, and the block is a stock A6 block with Z6 pistons, where as mine is a Z6 block with an A6 head.

Blew a head gasket last night while on the way to get my DP made
My 1947 autometer boost gauge didn't work, and I guess I was running a little bit too much.
I ran into a turbo talon on the interstate. He heard the loud *** "dump truck sound" and I had my hood off ( exhuast has to go somewhere ). I read his lips, " oohh, ---- that bitch is turbocharged ". I just smiled and noded my head and said ,"yep..". 5 minutes later the head gasket said, " yeppp.. BYE BYE !! ".
