Default wifes car cant get rid of CEL

alright first off car is a 98 civic lx just basic intake, exhaust, keeps giving me code po172 which is (sytem rich) in haynes manual and on strap-on scan tool (system rich bank1) but anyway had a hairline crack in manifold (repaired with manifold sealant) put a new universal o2 in it last year and just changed map sensor last night and code still comes back.now i was thinking maybe an injector was stuck open flooding bank 1 with fuel that the ecu cant compensate for but almost out of ideas and i live in virginia so now that the emmisions test for obd II cars have to hook up directly to the obd port i have to have this light gone in order to pass. any help is greatly appreciated!!!!!

if you are thinking an injector is stuck open, check your spark plugs to see if they all look the same.

the code is for bank 1. isnt bank 1 cylinders 1and4 considered bank one like the pwo and pr3 jdm b16 that the ecu reads from 2 banks instead of one could be wrong but enlighten me

you could also get a fuel pressure gauge on it and see if the pressure dropps when the car is off, which will show a leaking injector.

if your civic is a 4 cyl then you only have bank one
in a v6 or v8 u have banl 1 and bank 2
you have a upstreaM and maybe a downstream o2
check your egr valve it may be malfuntioning, and can cause a rich condition
i do emmisions repairs at work and we get a lot of egr valvs some sticking or even the egr port could be cloged and ----
