What gear lube
Whats the best gear lube for my crx si tranny. Its starting to catch everytime i put it in 3rd gear when the a/c is on. Im going to tighten up the clutch cable alittle and change the gear lube. I have a little bit of a squeak when i shift by the shifter bushing, think maybe the bushing is drying out and would cause it. Thanks
just to show you i appreciate the help

Re: What gear lube
I put Honda manual fluid in mine and it still grinds sometimes. I know my tranny had a bullitin to have all syncros that grind replaced, but the dealer wouldn't do crap when it was still under warranty. Maybe try some after market crap like that bg stuff like CoreyR said, but i have never been impressed with bg crap. To me its just snake oil! I loved flushing automatics with bg fluid cause it was going to come back a couple months later with tranny issues, but now i am compairing apples and oranges. I heard some guys put GM's syncromesh in hondas, and i used that alot on gm trannys when i was a gm tranny tech. That stuff is really good! It worked miracles on gm trannys and quieted them down alot, smoothed out shifts, and stopped grinds.

Re: What gear lube
so GM syncromesh or BG synchro shift II. I thought there was some metalic ---- or somthing in gm synromesh that messed your trany up, i dont know just what ever you guys think is better i need it to stop grinding until i get enough money here to dig into it
