Hey guys I am trying to swap a b18a that has been converted to obd1 into a 93 eg coupe...
And I cant figure out what the best option for the vss is.
The 92-93 da9's came with cable speedometers
The 93 eg's were electric vss.

I have:
the 93 eg coupe which is set up for electric vss
92 integra engine harness
95 ls vss
obd1 p75 ecu


Either im looking at getting a newer ls engine harness (like a 94-95)
OR is their a cluster that accepts cable speedo that will fit (with wiring mods) in the eg?

does the VSS from the eg coupe fit the b18a tranny? if so, just bolt it in and plug it into the harness.

wait. you removed the eg engine harness didnt you? (eeek).

you'll have to wire it up seperately if thats the case.

 

Word if you didn't do the swap yet use your stock harness and just use the 95 ls vss I believe all b and d seires vss are interchangeable, i think youll have a lot harder time getting a cable cluster into your car

 

I dont have the stock eg harness
I have a 90 integra harness which is useless and a 92 integra harness which doesnt have a vss connector on it either


And is there a write up somewhere on wiring in the vss seperatly?

 

use your eg harness and be done.......

 

i agree w/ bone, just grab the cheapest EG harness you can find, vtec/non vtec auto/manual, doesnt matter. im assuming you either did the cable conversion or you are using a newer hydro tranny, in either case use the electric vss.

 

alright I am going to get an eg harness.
and I did the cable to hydro conversion.
