Default What drives the 6th gen civic speedometer?

Mine has stopped working again, last time it happened it was just because of an intermittent alternator out put wire connection, and all the electronics in the car would die.

Now it seems like it's just the speedo, I figured the VSS sent it a signal but all the connections seemed fine.

If anyone knows off the top of their head it's much appreciated.

the vss from the top of the transaxle i fixed one of these on a ricers si civic basically ran a wire right off the vss (blue wire for civics /orange wire on integras) straight to the guage cluster its the blue wire wiht white stripe it was broken somewhere down the line..

if your not throwing a vss code cel then just run the wire off the ecu its the blue/white stripe wire on the blue plug of the obd2 ecu straight to the guage cluster..

Alright cool.

I figured it had to get it from the VSS, I know where it is.

I guess tomorrow I'll take off the connector and see what is up with the wires/pins.

It started happening sporadically so it's more than likely bad connection.

Alternator and the voltage regulator are brand new, or do you mean a fuse on the fuse block?
