Default walbro grinding

searched around a bit found 2 on here with no answer and links to the same two on google, anyway my walbro is making a growling/grinding noise. At half tank or just under it makes the most noise while braking, around 1/4 tank (which it doesn't see often) its a constant growl even during priming.

its an in tank, i pulled it yesterday took a look at it nothing seems physically wrong with it i changed the sock and it still didnt go away. Yeah i know the normal priming noise, and it sounds normal with a full tank just at around half tank it starts acting up. No problem with fuel delivery tho, just makes me nervous ill see what they have to say tho.

Is it mounted rigid so as not to move while cornering or braking. Did you forget to put the sleeve of rubber on the pump to dampen the vibrations. And then when cornering or braking or when there is not enough fuel completely submerge it fuel will not act as dampener for the pump.
Or depending how the pump is mount you have the pump touching a tank baffel or basket.

not running fuel through the pump on the bench will obviously make it loud as hell.
