My buddy was wondering the same thing but i dont know if it would be worth it. Somepeople say the sohc zc is the same output as a d16a1 and some say it has like 120 hp. Info on this would be great. And arent we all trained machanics here LOL.

Ummm..yes. They did make a SOHC ZC with VTEC. It's just like a Z6, but it's not. It made about 125hp.
The non-VTEC version was basically an A6.

Yes, it's possible. You can put a VTEC head on any block as long as it doesn't interchange from DOHC to SOHC or vise versa(i.e you can't put a SOHC VTEC head on a DOHC ZC and you can't put a DOHC ZC head on a SOHC block.)
