You arent changing the crank now are you?
D's and B's have the same rod journal diameter. Figure it out.
I would be more concerned about the fail y8 oil pump myself.

Thin the big end so it fits between the narrower D16 crank counterweights, bush the 21mm small end to fit the 19mm D-series wristpin. Requires circlips as the OEM pressed pin stuff won't work.
I have LS rods in my beater with GX pistons; those come with 21mm wristpins tho so it's a pretty sweet way to get 12-12.5 CR in a SOHC or upgrade a rod in a stock CR ZC.

Word, I started replacing spun bearing y series blocks around 5 years ago.
