Default Valve seating question

I have done this before using the compound, But not sure if I did a great job or not, I was kinda in a rush, but on my built motor I want to make sure I do it the right way, so how long should I work on each valve seating it in properly? o should I just do it till the contact surfaces are shiny? I just want to make sure its done correctly.

Thanks in Advance.

if you grind them right they wont be shiny, they will be a dull grey color
i did prob 2-3min each valve, i just made sure they looked uniform all the way around the seat
its kinda hard to mess up, if you are unsure just keep going

Yeah, they are all a dull metal gray, so I guess I did it right.

yai bought the compound and used a bench grinder, with the wire wheel?? i took some valves out of my old y7 head, and did them, i guess it turned out right, i mean it looked like the valves had small chips in it?? around the seat, or so, maybe it was from the nitrous that distroyed the motor?
