valve lash(NEW PROB)
i just changed my head gasket yesterday and i was wondering if u dont do a valve lash job on it will it cause the motor not to start?? and i know my timing is on perfect. so will not doing a valve lash cause the motor not to start. any help will b appreciated. thanks -adam-

By chance did you take the head to the machine shop and have them do a valve grind and resurface? if so then you would need to do a valve lash adjustment. If your doing just a head gasket? no, you should be fine if it ran ok before hand.

Make sure the plugs are clean and dry, it might take a little bit to start it. Ensure all your wiring is ok, and all your vac lines (esp map sensor signal line) Make sure the thermostat ground wasnt taking off when doing the head job.

ok now the motor starts it was a couple of plugs that had the gap smashed on them :P but.. now it only runs on two cylinders its trhowing code 16, (bad injector) but i swtiched injectors around to c if that was the prob but either way it will only run on two cylinders (3,4) only 1, 2 dont get fuel at all so now im thinking my resistor pack when bad??
