Default Using OEM rings on forged pistons ???

I'm thinking about getting a set of used forged pistons (SRP) and was wondering if anyone has any insight on using OEM Honda rings on them or forged pistons in general? This may or may not have been covered..

I never use the rings that came with the pistons I only use OEM because the others are too hard on cylinder walls.

the height width and depth of the rings can be very different..after market pistons are made to accept on certain rings..they can have a taper on the ring or be thicker then stockers...

Check the piston manufacturers website for their catalog. In the catalog it should tell you the ring specs. Next do a google search for Hastings Manufacturing. Go to their site and click "catalog" then "international" and select make of your car or the car the piston is for. There you can find specs. I just order from hastings but last night I discovered that the OEM style rings won't fit my SRP piston becaus they're too thick and won't fit in the ring grooves on my SRP's.

Probe (for B-series apps anyway) tells you to use OEM rings.
