honda manual calls for 10w30 engine oil.. im sure some synthetic would help a little. Personally I have never changed my tranny fluid. I probably should.. hell.. now that im chattin about it im gonna do it.

i dropped about $30 on trans fluid from the honda dealership. and my syncros still hate me, especially going into 2nd.

my friend said its some little forks in the trans that break.. he had his replaced when he got his quaife installed, and that fixed it.

ya id like some more detail on why not b4 i do mine...

uhm.. sincee we're on the topic of tranny/ syncros and all that goodness..

I find it IMPOSSIBLE to go from 3rd gear down to 2nd gear anywhere above 40km/hr. I mean the gear level will NOT slide into the gear. If I tap the gas to 3k rpm it drops in smoothly. Also the same for 3rd, but I can get from 4th to 3rd below 80km/h. between 80-110km/h i have to rev the motor.. is this normal?

why not synthetic in the tranny? how many quarts does the tranny take? I'm pretty sure my b16 tranny (don't know which code, the sticker was taken off, probably at the same time it was painted blue) is drained of oil.
